4 Prong Trailer Light Wiring. My question is this: Do I need to splice into the existing wiring (which I abhore doing), or is there a pigtail. Now I can run the positive wire from the lights right to the aux fuse.
With four prongs spaced evenly apart, it will create a boxy looking appearance as the prongs function as "separate corners" of a squarish outline. So now I need to install wiring again, but actually do a good working job at it. The three prongs are for the two "hot" leads and the third is for the equipment grounding conductor.
LED lights had been installed on this trailer about a year ago.
Wiring A Light Fixture With Three Wires.
It includes the ground, taillight, and stop/turn signal connections. The reason I am fishing for the license plate light on the car is to use that as the tail. When you look at the rear underside of the bed If you look in the wiring going to the left you will find a Light Green wire with an Orange stripe.
